Positively Not Human – Paranormal Sci-Fi Alien Romance
Is this guy crazy? Or am I? Because I’m convinced he’s not quite human…
I’m tired of being alone.
When the outbreak started, my father sent his security detail to grab me from work, flying me off to our family safe house. Or what’s left of our family. It’s just the two of us, and even though he calls regularly, after months of hiding out, I’m ready for company.
I understand my father is high-ranking in the military, and they’re working around the clock to save people from the virus killing so many. But aren’t I more important?
Plus, I can’t lose my father. It almost killed us both when my mother passed. I’ve always known I’d be in charge of making my family with a husband someday in the future. It’s just being an attorney doesn’t leave much time to date, and with the way the world is going right now—it might never happen.
But then Ivan called the phone my father left with me. He’s alive and looking for my father, and I can’t stop myself from inviting him out to the safe house. What could it hurt?
After all, he’s military even though I haven’t seen him since I was a kid. I was an adolescent when he entered a secret government program and he casually told me he’d be among the missing for years.
But what I don’t expect is for him to be identical to the way I remember.
Tall, built… and devastatingly handsome. Especially since I don’t want to be attracted to someone married to the military. But after a few days—I give up.
I’m an adult now, and we’re here all alone. Why shouldn’t we hook up?
Who would have thought that the medical changes the government performed to “enhance” him would transfer to me?
And when my father returns… all hell breaks loose.
