I’ve always been a bit leery of a box sets offered for such a reasonable price. But I was really surprised by this offering. I’ve read through 3 of the books in the set so far, and have found the escapism, romance, adventure, and the story that I like. Though insta-love often spoils the story for me, these books seems to explain it in a “sci fi” way that doesn’t distract to much from the story. For me, there has to be a story (besides just sex scenes) to keep me interested. A few Grammatical errors that didn’t detract from the story for me. I really recommend these books for the escapism that each book offers for a summer read.

Let's face it, you wouldn't be here looking at reviews if you weren't in to alien romance, but if you also like a bit more substance than, "woman meets alien, they fall in love.." rinse and repeat, this is for you! Wrongful improvement, sabotage, government secrets... Definitely a must read!

Great stories but errors on nearly ever page

The plot is well thought out. It combines some of our cultural alien abduction stories with a whole new set of what ifs. I would love to give this a 5 star but you can hardly read a page without finding glaring errors of every possible kind. If you get really upset about seeing the English language butchered then skip this set. I know it's not an expensive set for the number of books you get but this kind of thing just drives me nuts. I keep asking this but authors where are you editors? If they didn't catch these you and your publishers should consider making them unemployed.

I started with book one and I was hooked. I bought the box set and kept on reading the stories of each couple as they found their soulmate. I devoured the whole collection in 5 days. Well written, great storyline and interesting characters. If you like alien romance then this series is a must read.

There are different Groups that will have experienced all kinds of things but continue the move forth with someone lives. Each book weaves more into the base story so would not call these standalone.

I would suggest a you read Sinth Strain collection first.

Fun Box Set for Easy Reading.

I liked that this box set was perfect to power through a book or 2 a day, with light easy reading, and nothing dark or pervy happening in it. The stories had mild adventure with a lot of sex, which at times overpowered the story. But I couldn't in fairness give these books a 5 star, compared to other authors who I've 5 starred. Here is why my rating dropped to an average 3 star: PS, I know some of these things are petty, but they stood out to me.

1). SO! MANY! EXCLAMATION! POINTS! Everyone in these books was at the ultimate of excitement at all times, it seemed. Some pages had 3-4 exclamation marks on one page. Most authors are very judicious in their exclamation use, usually around 5 an entire book. So I felt like my emotions were always being demanded of me simply because a character thought a male was So! Darn! Sexy!

2). Laughing at inappropriate times, and snorting. Seriously, with all the snorting going on every couple pages, it could have been a book about a horse and a wild pig becoming best of friends. At one point a character even "snorted a laugh". Which brings to the laughing: the characters laughed for no reason, or at the worst times. "Jimmy, I'm afraid the virus will kill me!" Jimmy laughed uproariously. "Fear not, little one," he snorted, "I'm sure we'll find a cure for you before your 24 hour life expectancy ends."

3) All the women had names straight out of a 1950's TV guide. Susan, Jo-Anne, Lucy, Karen (Karen!), and so on. Not an Emma or Zoe in the bunch.

4). There's a LOT of sex, and not much story. For example, the entire first book takes place in a bedroom. The characters talk a lot but mostly it just sets the stage for the series, and they boink. A couple books in, the action shifts to a prison planet, and we get some story and adventure. But the filler for the rest of the books is copious amounts of sex, talking about sex, thinking about sex, etc. One of the books tells the story of Travek, who abducted everyone to begin with. It started out good and I was excited to see where it could go, but no, of course our characters get stripped naked and shoved in a cage together where they are expected to have sex. When they don't, they get put in a nice bed and she gets shot with an aphrodisiac. I like my books spicy, don't get me wrong, but I'd like more substance and meat to the stories.

So, all in all, like I said, these stories are fun quick reads with some titillation. I read them with a mix of annoyance and enjoyment, but I won't be buying anything else by this author.

I enjoyed how detailed the world building social structures was; whoever, I would have had a more emersive reading experience with greater detail in the little things. Like cultural diversity, landscaping, wildlife, and structures. I'm not a fan of instant love. The stories progressions I would say was the middle of the road. Overall they were a fun read.

This is rare that I made it through all 12 books in one go as I usually start to lose interest along the way. Each book is about a different couple but they all interact in subsequent books and each story has some exciting things happening. There’s an overall plot which goes from book to book and comes to culmination in book 12. They were all entertaining with various levels of action in them and very readable. The only criticism I have is there’s too much explicit sex too many times in each book. Those chapters could have been better utilised to flesh out the story. Also the books ended rather abruptly but I suppose it was an ongoing story and maybe too much overlapping in events, that is to say certain events were repeated in the next book. All in all it was a good read.
